If you knew that you had one chance to write a letter to the entire world, what would it say? If you knew that every single human in the world was going to hold your letter in their hands and read it, what would you want them to know? What would be the most important thing to include in your letter?

If I could say one thing to the world it'd probably be "Hi Mom!". Just kidding, if i could say anything to the world it'd be "What are we doing to keep the economy this way? Use less electricity and water! and go see Jeff Dunham at the Iowa State Fair!" and maybe I'd crack a joke or two in there.

I am Kayla Brady and I have something to ask you fellow people, how many of you actually have the "green grocey bags"? Or how many of you re-use water bottles? Or how many of you have actually thought about "going green"? If not, then i am going to tell you how to get started!
First off, once you buy on 24 pack of the bottle waters, just reuse them! And fill them up with water from the kitchen sink or if you have a water filter at home, then put that water in the bottle! Second, next time you go and buy grocey's then by 10 reuseable bags. They're only a dollar each! Third, turn off the lights when you leave any room, or buy the florest lightbulbs. (Or the spril lightbulbs)
I could go on and on, so I supose that I should stop and finish my letter, I hope that my tips help you go green, and I hope you will help the earth last longer! [:
I figured I needed a longer letter. What I'd do is tell them "Most people throw away their plastic bottles and cups. Re-use, Reduce, Recycle! Didn't you learn how to read the side of a huge green box? Some people complain about never having much money but the drink a lifetime amount of pop, water in bottes, and green tea. I love the last one the most here but more to the point I think that you should take the time and put your bottles in a bin or trash bag, take them to your local Hy-vee and put each one in for five cents a peice. Some people are like how I used to be. they just throw their change in the trash or throw it somewhere. Save up that change in a jar and take it again to a local Hy-vee or coinstar machine and cash it in. I made $50 and some cents for that! these are a few ways to help. And Hope for Haiti! Hopefully the damaged houses and building will be rebuilt soon and the amputations and other things stop soon. And farmville is a fun game. add me casue i need more friends! good-bye america! Why can’t everyone just get along? There is no need for all the fighting and corruption. Maybe if people started to communicate better there would be less problems. If everyone gave a little bit back the world would become so much of a better place.
I wish that there could be world peace, something NEEDS to be done. Along with world peace someone needs to do something about animal abuse. Each say animals get injured because some people find enjoyment in the pain of others. It makes me sad to think that animals are being left to fend for themselves while us humans just stroll through life. Domesticated animals just don't know how to live in the wild anymore so people need to start taking action.
Another problem is global warming and pollution. The world is starting to become a living wasteland and it's taking its toll on everyone, not just humans. The plant life is being cut down while air is becoming smoggy and bad. Polar ice caps are melting and the animals are losing homes. Rainforests are getting cut down each day just to make some lives easier. Think about the animals that live in those trees and how they're losing their homes.
Another problem is overpopulation. China has about One-billion people there alone. That is too much; it's time for some change. People need to have less children or if they want big families just adopt. There are so many kids in foster homes and shelters that need to be cared for. It would be nice to take someone in. Babies aren't the only people who need cared for there are plenty of teens form troubled homes that would probably love to be adopted.
If the world were more like this things could be so much better. It's time for EVERYONE to take action. Adults and kids need to start lending a helping hand once in a while. We also need to start working together and cooperating better.

If I had a chance to write a letter to the whole world, I would write about how cool it is to write a letter that everyone in the world would be reading, whatever is on my mind at the time, and also how much I would like to tour about 95% of all the countries I'm writing to. I would also write about my life, like what I do everyday, and my friends. I would tell everyone to write back to me and just write a letter, no real requirements, just about whatever you want it to be about.

I think I would also talk about how much I would enjoy learning about how they live their lives, and how they should write letters to everyone, just like I am. Maybe then we could take five minutes from our day to write a letter to someone in the world. Almost like a pen-pal, except everyone in the world has one.

Dear World,
I am no one special, but I think that just because your a greedy money monger is no reason to make people who don't understand labor laws work in horrible conditions from dawn to dusk for minimum wage. That's no better than slavery!
There are many other problems in the world like major industrial companies not going green (eco friendly) because it would cost a few thousand dollars, I mean would you rather be uber rich and mess up the world for future generations, or be not quite so uber rich and have a good world for future generations. If that doesn't get to you listen to this, if you mess up the world now the your children wont have a good world, and the your grandchildren wouldn't have a nice place to live all their lives, do you have memories of running through big, open, fields of grass or, running across beautiful desert sands with beautiful purple mountains in the background or, playing hide n' seek in the big, ancient, forests, or any other wonderful childhood memories. If we don’t fix things fast (NOW) your grandchildren or even your children won't have a chance to get those memories! They'll only get to remember sludge filled rivers and black polluted land, so we need to straighten up our act NOW.

Obama says to get money we must spend money. Which is true. Companies dont have money to hire employees. ReplyDeleteMy name is secret. I am 12 years old and I'm turning 13 on August 13th which happens to be on a Friday. If you're superstitious about Friday the 13th, please don't be afraid of me. I write in peace.
There's a couple of things I'd like to say. I want you to know that friendship is a great thing. I have experienced a great friendship loss with five of my best friends. It's bad and I wished things didn't go the way they did. But hey, you can't control the way life comes to you.
You're probably wondering why this happened and I'll make this long story short so you don't get bored. Basically, my five friends don't like another one of my best friends that I've been friends with since third grade. One of my friends got in a fight with her and told me that I had to pick between the two. I immediately said that I couldn't pick so she said that we weren't going to be friends anymore.
After that, everything went downhill. My other friends started picking sides and saying that they couldn't be my friend because they didn't like my friend either (the one that I've known since third grade) I thought that, that wasn't very fair to me because I didn't do anything.
I confronted my friends and told them why I was mad and ever since then, five of my best friends don't really talk to me anymore.
I bet you're reading this and saying,"Who's this freak that's telling me her whole story?" and I don't blame you I just want you to realize how great friendship is and that in one second you could lose your closest friend or friends. Please learn a lesson from my story and live a happy life with your friends and family.

ReplyDeleteHello! Here are my thoughts that you should all think about. You should take these toughts into consideration because everyone is reading this and it might make people realize that you can make a compromise, belive it or not.
For starters, I know that everyone keeps saying "Save the Earth", "Recycle! Recycle!". But actually it's not that hard to put your pop-cans in a recycling bin instead of the trash can. If you think about it, if everyone recyled one can everyday of the year there would be millions of cans recyled. Also, we all love pets and animals but we keep taking from them so they keep trying to find places to live and things to eat, but have taken it all.
Now, if you don't like the president or who ever is in charge of your country, land, city,etc. We understand that you don't like it but if you go around saying that you don't like them, they most likely not going to make laws in your favor. So, move on and try to adjust......if that doesn't work wait til you have a new leader and start over.

ReplyDeleteHave you ever seen trash next to signs? What about that smoke that comes out of cars and factories? If you have you better get used to it, because thats what the whole world is going to look like if we keep on polluting and not saving energy. I mean the least you can do is turn the lights and water off when they're not in use, recycle, and anything you can do to help the community. Its not that hard.
Our planet is the only place that can sustane life so far. So if anything happens to it we're gonna be in A LOT of trouble. I know we are a few years away from BIG changes, but why not try and prevent it all now? Please, our planet needs help.
Our planet has other living things besides humans. There are animals and plants too. Those animals and plants are as big of a deal as us. They provide us with oxygen and food. A lot of animals are in danger due to us not paying attention to what we're douing to our home. Get up off the couch, and look outside. Think about what you see. You don't want your grandkids to grow up in a place even worse do you? It will get worse too if we keep on doing what we're doing. Come on, for your family's sake.
You know, if we keep on polluting the air and not saving energy or recycling, all of that toxic waste will be thrown into lakes and oceans. That will contaminate our water supply. So, ask yourself, whats gonna happen if we keep on doin all of this? Where is all of that waste gonna go after all of the years ahead of us? Its not going to dissapear. It will build up until our world looks like the worl in the movie "Wall-e." You wouldn't want that to happen.
So just think about what has been said here and do all you can to help. Remember the animals, waste, pollution. You can prevent the world from becoming a junkyard. Talk to your friends, maybe they can help. Thank you for eading. Good-bye!!!

There are many people in the world and we always don't get along. Well I think it's time we do. I think there should be no more wars and no more threats.
I also think that we should take better care of our planet. Walk instead of driving. We should come together and

Do we realize what we are doing to this planet? Before we came along with factories that put more co2 in the air than there was before it was even built, we produced poor countries, rich and powerful leaders, war, genecide, and on the largest scale since the dinosaurs went exctinct, death.
We are destroying this planet and many peoples live. This is not a natural course that the palnet has taken, it is man-made. If our economies can't make a total rebound, then what can we do? We cant supply people with jobs, with food, or even with clean water, sooner or later. WE are destroying Earth, WE are doing the damage that has been done, WE will restore this planet to its former youth, nad a new stage of man WILL begin. A stage where we actually make the Earth a healthier planet, not make it a big chunk of rock.
The only way to make this planet better is too cut back on emissions, stop cutting down trees, and too stop the war and hatred that is dstroying a civilazation altogether. But I would like to be wrong when I say that we (as a people) could never do that. We could never put our differences aside and help each other. We could never became one nation under one global flag and become a healthy and green people. We could never stop killing each other for personal reasons.
But I hope that one day, in the notso distant future, that we could do this, we can all become one!!.
I don't know really I would probally state that there should be world peace. Plus, I would say that the world resources should be used more wisely instead of just want more and more resources, we should use solor power instead of gasoline for our cars for plenty of reasons like the sun is a great ball of gas. The second is the solar panals can store energy. Another thing is if tobbaco is bad then why dosen't the government make it illegal,same goes for alchol.I mean alchol can harm you and your loved ones.

Hi. I'm Patricia, I was 13 years old when I wrote this letter, as you are reading it now, I may still be 13, But quite possibly I am older. This is my first year actually being a teenager. Let me just say this, being a teenager isn't all people make it out to be. I mean of course it has it's perks like more freedom to do more things. But it also comes with more responsibilty. Like for instance, you may have more chores around the house, like doing the dishes or laundry.
As a teenager many of you may not think that I, or other teenagers like me, can see the things that are happening to our world, people hating other people, people KILLING other people, but we can see these things happening. Hi, I am Ashley May of the U.S.A. In this world there is a lot of disaters that we need to realize and find a solution or work on the problems. First (this issue isn't above the others, but) world hunger. You might be sitting in your cozy home but think of your family on the streets; no food, no water, and no shelter. You think my twenty dollar bill isn't going to help anyone. WRONG! You could be helping a family with food. That twenty dollars could help a family get fed for a month! You won't ever realize what it feels to have almost nothing till you do.
The next big issue for the world is the going green issue. Well you should! If everyone just did simple little gestures like re-using water bottles recycling papers and other reyclable stuff like 2-liters bottles, cardboard boxes, and many other things. If you recycle your papers not as many trees will be cut and trees is one of our sources of oxygen. You need to realize what a big effect if everyone go together could make.
Another problem is the economy. Yes this is bad times but if we stick together we can make it through this. They made it through the great depression. No, there is not going to be a quick fix. Be patient and we will soon be back on our feet.
The last issue I will speak about (not the last problem though,) is poplution. This does kind of go with the going green thing but this I think should be a seperate issue. People everywhere are throwing trash everywhere. On the ground, in the ocean, on the beaches, on the side of the highway, and about anywhere you look.This is hurting our soil and the atmosphere. STOP IT! Dont throw your candy wrapper into the air, find a trash can. If you are in your car and driving and have a empty bottle re-use it or find a recylcing bin. They are everywhere!

And now a word to those who are reading this: You can judge a pie by it's flavor, but you can't judge a person by their looks...Well you could, but it probably isn't right or isn't very nice.

My name is Breanna Simmons and I am writting this letter to the world because I think people should know that the world is crumbling beneath our fingertips. Also because of Global Warming our ozone layer is getting to many holes in it. Before we know it the ozone layer is going to be gone, and we all know once it's gone, it's not coming back. We can prevent this by being "green" and using the three "R's" which stand for Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
I mean really people, it's like we're in a dream. Wake up and smell the roses. If you dont use the three "R's", don't you think it's time to start. Come on your world is waiting for you to start. This not a dream people. It's all happening, every day the holes in our ozone layer get bigger and bigger. Pretty soon we won't be able to go outside because of the sun. When the ozone layer is gone the sun will fry us so fast if we go outside.

If I could write a letter to the world here is what I would say. I would probobly tell everyone to stop buying into big bussinuses! They make so much money but at the cost to others. All the executives get alot of money for just sitting around and spending money. Then, once they have to say something, they say they will fix it. But, when you come to get it fixed, they have said "There is no problem" and then, when that happend to an old lady, after they turned here down she crashed because of the same problem they denied the car ever had! And now, the airbags are stating to get faulty. Cant they get anything right?
And finaly, I would like to talk about the war in Iraq. I have a simpel silution. They have unmaned air drons, why not use them?
That way, they have no way to get to us. They always seem to be moving to one country or the other.So why waist the time following them? Iraq, Afganastan, Yemen, Pakastan. I say we make a whole bunch or unmaned drons and follow them anywhere we find them. that way, we will slowly take them out, without loss of american life.

I have a few things to tell you. One's pretty important, so listen up. World hunger. Every one has heard things about it, but a lot of people don't do anything, let alone do you even pay attention when it's mentioned. I know some of you do, but that still not everyone. A lot of people in poorer parts of the world bearly have any food to eat, some may even have none. And others have so much, and don't even think twice about throwing away the extras. No, I'm not saying you need to give your left overs to the people who don't have much food. I'm saying that you should cherish the food you have.
Another thing is attitude. When you come to school and are angry at something, don't bring it out on others. And you have no reason to be mean to others for no reason, even if you think it's fun. Yeah, sure a few jokes and funny comments every now and then are fine. But making fun of others is just flat out rude. I've experienced these situations myself before, and the're not fun. I'm not saying that you have to be a perfect goody-goody either. I'm not really the nicest person around, but I try to be the best I can.
And finally, listen to what others have to say. Don't think everything is up to you. You have to put other's opinions into your mind. It might even help out depending on the situation. Another person, well people to listen to are your parents and your teachers. I know not very many of us like to do chores and school work, and I don't either. But think about it. If you talk back to your parents, where does that get you? Grounded, right? I think it would be better to do the work then be free then being stuck in your room with nothing to do. And with teachers, just do what they say and follow their rules. You'll stay out of dentention that way.
Oops, I lied. I have one last thing to say, and this ones short but true. Dream. And live up to that dream, or at least try. Get off your butt and do something in your life!
If i was going to write a letter to the world it would say:

All the fighting needs to stop! Killing people isn't helping us agree on things. Think about 9/11. Terrorists ran a plane into the twin towers and it killed a lot of people. That didnt help ANYTHING. We need to end wars and work things out without conflict.
Also, you need to keep in shape. Get excercise every day somehow. Excercise at least 1 hour every day so you can stay fit. Oh yeah, and if you have a plan, like a place you want to go to or a job you want, go for it! I am. I have places I want to go before I have to settle down because I will get too old for it and I am making a pledge to go to those places sometime in my life. So if you have somewhere you want to go, go there, or do whatever you want(if its legal).
So now I have to go world so see you later(but not all of you that would be hard...).
